Carers

Carers of people with a mental illness meet on the 1st Wednesday of every month.

The Carers Group is part of the Mental Framework Group who influence the care of the Mentally Ill in Aberdeen. If you would your voice heard, or would just like a chat with other carers . . then come along.

Rosebank Drop-in

Meet other people with Manic Depression at Rosebank Drop-in. Have a cup of tea and a chat Monday to Friday.

Some of our members are part of the Management Committee. If you would like to raise any points please speak to Caroline or Jack, or contact the office.

Mental Health
Consumer Group

This user-led, campaigning group meet at Rosebank Drop-in. Successful campaigns include: the implementation of the Aberdeen CPN Crisis Intervention Service.

Members attend hospital management meetings and represent users' views on various aspects of current in-patient services, with the aim of improvement.

Cornhill DPM

Any concerns about Cornhill Hospital.? We attend the Joint Partnership Meeting and need your input.

Joint Training
For Nurses

Users are invited to become involved in facilitating on on-going hospital nursing training courses aimed at creating a more theraputic relationship between nurse and in-patient, and improving the quality of care.

Acute In-Patient Practice Development Network

A steering group has been formed to develop and improve areas of in-patient treatment over the next 2 years.
