Rosie's Mum arose because there seemed
to be a lack of information about Manic Depression aimed
at younger children.
It is an illness that affects many people
and children find hard to understand.
It is hoped that Rosies Mum will help.
The book explains times when Rosie's Mum may be excited
and talk a lot and then other times when she is feeling
miserable and doesn't feel like doing anything at all.
Another scenario is when Mum has to go into hospital
and Rosie misses her Mum but it is great when she returns
home and is well again. An important point the author
makes is that Mum isn't always unwell. This book is
well illustrated and sentences are clearly set out for
the younger child to read on their own.
